Venum BJJ Belt Size Guide

Venum BJJ belts follow the standard IBJJF length sizing, with each belt cut long enough to wrap your waist twice and leave both ends hanging 15-20cm below the knot. Belts run from A0 through A4, sized by your height and weight rather than waist circumference alone — pair your Venum belt with any gi from the Venum collection.

Fit tip: If you're between two sizes, always pick the larger. A BJJ belt that's too short to double-wrap and tie cleanly is functionally useless for competition. Better a few extra centimetres at the ends than a knot that won't sit.

How to tie a BJJ belt

• Centre the belt in front of your waist, with both ends equal in length.
• Wrap both ends around your back and bring them to the front.
• Tuck the right end under both layers of the belt and pull it up.
• Cross the left end over the right, then loop it under and pull tight to form the knot.
• Both ends should hang 15-20cm below the knot when finished.
